"We're here because Christianity is being used by radical leaders of the religious right as they seek to marginalize gay and lesbian people; to criminalize desperate, pregnant women; to suppress scientific information and honest information about human reproduction and replace them with ignorance."

I think I'd like to see a statement of beliefs from this organization. I'm not one to cast anyone out of the kingdom, but to some of these people Mere Christianity is mere mythology.

Now, how did we all know that their biggest concerns would be homosexuals and abortion?

Call us psychic, I guess.

Let's see, they are for same-sex relations as well as extra-marital and pre-marital sex (including among children). They are for abortion and encourage the use of aborted babies for "parts" where other supplies exist. The goal for using fetal cells is to ensure that babies CAN always be aborted.

If there really were "honest information" about human reproduction, there would not be so many "accidental" pregnencies ("So THAT'S how it happens") and the number of abortions would decline if there was "honest information" about what the fetus suffers and just what organs it has at any stage of life.

Then you get the liberals who say that Republican policies of small government are anti-Christian. When did Jesus ever come out for big government?

What we give to government in taxes does not absolve us of our obligation to give to charity. One is under penalty of force, the other is strictly voluntary.

They'll pitch Christianity over the side as soon as they can.
