That is interesting, why did he need the money at that time? To pay for the boat, to participate in a cover-up? I wonder?

I was thinking the same thing! I believe they are still holding the party boat guy, right? I dont think they've let him out of jail yet.The mother of Natalee keeps insisting she was kidnapped! I'm puzzled by this, unless she knows something we don't, or is just in denial. But yeah the father got a call from the son saying'' This girl is dead, dad help ,I don't want to go to jail.'' How hard would it be for the father to sweep the girl up from the beach in the darkness of night tell the kid to go get his ''party boat'' friend and whisk her off to sea and dump the body assuming sharks would get rid of the evidence? All before the sun came up. Of course it's all speculation on my part. But knowing a parents love for their kids,I can see this dad doing it for him! What I'm worried about is down the road! My best friend is Swedish and she tells me the Dutch are even more liberal then the Swedes. I hope this guy doesn't get away with a plea bargain or something and get out in a year to go on to his Florida scholarship like nothing ever happened. I hear they even have coffee breaks and cocktail hour in their jails over there. Yikes!

My first guess when this story broke was that someone dumped her in the ocean. I still believe it. After all, isn't this near where Rep.Major Owens (D-NY) claims the sharks are still swimming around waiting for bodies?
