Jealous of him or her? LOL! I always thought Tom Cruise looked to puny to be a real man. Nope! No jealousy here.

It appears like to me that the Hollywood "star managers" could possibly be doing a lot of publicity celebrity romance managing in the last few years - probably before. I began to suspect that the Ben Afleck/Jennifer Lopez "romance" was a Hollywood manufactured deal made to promote "Gigli". Of course, could be mistaken. It just looked odd.

When Tom Cruise went into meltdown mode during the brief five minutes I watched him on "Oprah" (that's about all I can take of Her Haughtiness Know-It-All) I wondered when he was asked if he "had ever felt like THIS before" and he indicated that he had not, I wondered about poor Nicole. Just chopped liver I suppose.

The "Church" of Scientology lures folks to their website with a promise of a "Personality Test".

"A test of this kind would normally cost you $500.00 and up. It is offered to you here free of charge as a public service."

http://www.scientology.org/oca.htm

Right out of the box the first thing the Church put out their is that it is all about money to them.

So in ohter words, Hollywood celebs are so used to hearing "yes" all the time, they want to hear "no"? Sounds a bit odd.

BTW, I'm sorry if I was overzealous with the Scientology thing. I kind of like Katie, and I'm not too keen with her joining that organization because I've heard some pretty strange and disturbing things about it.

Well....I guess I'm in the minority here.....but I'm a little leery of all the Tom Cruise bashing.

1) It's a free country, he can belong to whatever religion he wants, yet on this board we applaud Germany for banning Scientology??.....a country that just 60 years ago was exterminating Jews?

2) If Cruise wants to marry the girl he loves and act like an idiot in love, well...he's not the only one. He just gets invited on Oprah and is asked about it. Why is this even news?

3) There ARE a bunch of doped up kids running around not experiencing life as they should because of drugs, and YES the media should focus more on this than on Tom's personal life and views. Why is it that the only expert the media interviews on the topic is Tom Freaking Cruise?

4) So Tom thinks that people should be happy without the aid of drugs, he's entitled to his opinion. Some of us even agree with it. A beautiful and successful woman like Brooke Shields needs drugs to be happy?? and how do we know this?.....if Brooke brings this out in the public why shouldn't one comment on it?....especially if they disagree with it?!!

5) I've dated a lady who was a doctor of psychology ....believe me, we ALL have issues....INCLUDING the doctors of psychiatry and psychology......and, oh my, have they ever been proven wrong over the ages.

6) How should of Tom Cruse reacted when some idiot punk pretending to be a reporter squirts water in his face?....should he beat the crap out of him??.....that would of been my response.....He actually made the guy look like an idiot and an embarrassment.....did you notice how the perp was looking for a place to hide?.....I thought he handled the situation beautifully.....better than I would have, yet he is ridiculed here for handling it that way.

7)Tom Cruise would be talking about War of the Worlds if Matt Lauer wasn't so focused on Tom's beliefs. Typical lazy reporting, in a celebrity driven media culture. The current media coverage of Tom Cruise and the public reaction to it, is, IMO, reminiscent of the media coverage of David Koresh and the Branch Davidians. It is over the top and slanted, Just ask him about the Damned movie.

I'm no Tom Cruise fan, (Although Collateral was an entertaining flick) and I'm certainly no fan of Scientology, and I have heard the story of the woman in Florida.....I have also heard the testimony from Men who were raped by Catholic Priests as Boys. I am also well aware of the THOUSANDS people who were murdered and tortured by the church in it's first 1500 years.....yet I am still a Christian.

I am a fan of our individual right to express ourselves and of life, liberty, and the pursuit happiness...... even if that happiness looks like lunacy in the eyes of others.

It looks like there are people who have made it their life's work to bait *stars* by doing or saying something off the wall to the *stars*, then when the *star* bashes their face in, they sue for big bucks. If the *stars* are smart (or warned by their smart lawyers) they will not rise to the bait.

It's sort of like the cliche of a powerful CEO or politician who frequents dominatrices to get spanked for being a "bad boy".

Some answers to your statements.

1)

What does the Holocaust have to do with Scientology? I believe that Germany banned it because it was a cult with a totalitarian structure that was a threat or possible threat to the government.

2)

Because he's a grown man. He should act his age, IMHO. Also, some have questioned if the relationship was really sincere.

3)

Yes, unnescearily drugging kids is definteley wrong. However, Scientology isn't just opposed to that, they're opposed to ALL psychiatry in general. Do you think that manic/depression or schitzophrenia aren't legitimate disorders?

4)

Yes, you certainlly have a right to state your opinion; however, you should also respect the right of people to have a opinion different from yours. Tom was basically being patronizing, sanctiminous, and arrogant.

5)

No one said that psychiatrists are perfect. However, just because some psychiatrists are bad or buffoons doesn't mean that ALL psychiatrists are bad or that psychiatry is wrong. Scientologists are opposed to all psychiatry.\

7)

Funny, because celeb Scientologists often talk about Scientology even when they're not prompted. Wasn't it either Kirsty Alley or Kelly Preston who said that "Scientology rocks"?

Yes, I know that the Catholic Church doesn't have a perfect history, however they at least let you leave if you wish it. Also, they don't try to sue or otherwise harass their critics.

Sounds strange, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if much of Hollywood was strange.

Many (MANY!) years ago I tried to research it. I got to a part in the writings where they were saying that two men were talking to me in my ear. That's when I closed the book and returned it to the library. At least that's what I remember about it.

I know many Scientologists, and 3 of my family members were in it for many years. 1 friend and 1 family member, in order to quit the church and retrieve their un-spent money, had to agree to sign a "Enemys of the Church" list and were declared suppressives.

What Tom Cruise was not telling you, because if he did, he knows he would sound nuts:

1. Scientoligists do not just believe psychiatrists use incorrect science. They believe they are evil. As evil as any other evil person. They call that evil "suppressive".. Psychiatrists and psychologists are suppressive persons and must be stopped and thwarted.

2. Whenever you find a "suppressed" person, that is to say, a person who has multiple "engrams" (which will need to be cleared by expensive auditing-- an E-meter--and the 2 tin cans) "connected to that persons lines" (scientology phrase)you must first search for a psychologist or psychiatrist. Most likely you will find one in the persons family or circle of friends, or the person is seeing one, or has seen one... They must disconnect, as a first order and first step in getting better.

3. When pressed on this issue, or other issues such as "Xeno"--(all humans -souls/minds-- were planted on Earth, in a volcano, by a evil suppressive tyrant call Xeno--and frozen in ice, the volcano then erupted, and this caused the very first and most important engram in all living humans. This event can only be "cleared" by a qualified (under extensive e-meter auditing) by a Scientology auditor. Until you reach the level at high OT (operating thetan)level in Scientology, and the expenditure of many thousands of dollars, you will not be told of this event. Indeed, they will deny this belief up and down and sideways, that this is not what they believe.. they will scoff at you.. and say you are spreading mis-information about the church.. The reason they do this, is they believe that until this event is cleared in each human, when they hear about it, they will go into a psychic break, and will never be able to be cleared.

Tom Cruise mentioned many phrases which are drilled into church members, as in when he mentioned that Lauer was being "reasonable". That is looked down upon, indeed to be reasonable in the Church is to open oneself up for ridicule.. The word to them is an insult. They see it as a compromise of the truth.

They drill each other in expensive lessons on how to get their point across and win just these types of conversations, all the while, not giving away Church secrets, or beliefs.. They would say Lauer is clearly a suppressed person, since he must have family members connected to psychologists--and hence connected to his lines.. ONe must first determine the "tone" level of such a suppressed person and raise him up the "tone scale".... Grief and apathy are low on the tone scale, anger is quite high.... so getting a person angry is considered a good deed. you are bringing them up the tone scale...

oh man I could go on and on, but my Sunday beckens.. have a great day all.

He was really telling Matt Lauer off talking to him like Matt was some inept low life...

Isn't he?
