I was pretty involved with the CRNC (never heard it called the "Crank") when I was in college. Such possibilities with that organization, but alas there is too much infighting.

Just an aside . . . when Rove ran for the CRNC National Chairman's postion, his campaign manager was none other than Lee Atwater.

Later, in the 80's, Jack Abramoff was Chair and his E.D. was Ralph Reed.

The CRNC has a rich history of students that went on to big careers in politics.

Too bad about Lee. He was the exact opposite of Rove in personality. Can you imagine where we'd be if we had them both today? G.W. Bush was also a student of Atwater.
