To him, the popularity of the stingingly anti-P.C. cartoon series ''South Park'' signals the advent of a new generation of Americans who refuse to accept public censure for their scornful attitudes toward gay men and lesbians, Native Americans, environmentalism and abortion rights.

In other words, when they tell people to shut up, we thumb our noses at them which makes them furious.  And how did "Native Americans" get thrown into the mix?  I'm an Indian (see, I don't subscribe to the N/A moniker that they've imposed on us) and I'm known around these parts as the most anti-PC guy there is.

It's about how we are supposed to believe that your ancestors lived at one with nature and ate blossoms or someting...instead of believe they were humans who lived, loved, fought, died like everyone else.

Oh, casinos, bribery for casinos, Kenniweck(sp?) man, "Holy Sites" that are claimed when somebody tries to build
in otherwise ignored areas, mascots with Indian names....

Well maybe you are anti PC, but when AIM comes to town to cause trouble over a fictionalized fiesta about an Indian girl from the 18th century converting to Christianity, well you get the point.

The reason I use the term "Native Americans" is that the name "Indian" already belonged to other people long before Europeans discovered America. It's not that I like the term "Native American", it's that I don't know what else to call the first settlers of this continent.

You've been punked by non-Indian Ward Churchill, and others of his sort, some of whom are Indian, many of whom are not.

how DID the Native Americans get in there? my favorite bumpersticker reads "sure you can trust the government, just ask an indian".

i can't speak for everyone in the SPC group but i think the indians are a shinning example as to the "why i hate big government"

the government neads to stay out of my life and let the indians do whatever the hell they want with whatever piece crap land we left them. it's the least we(they) can do.

just my thoughts.
