What would happen if someone tried to burn one of those "rainbow flags" the queers are always waving?
I like that sentiment! Although let us not forget that Old Glory will always remain the symbol of freedom-loving Americans; the clowns who pass such laws have never earned the right to claim the flag as their symbol.
That said, I understand how you meant it, and again, I like your sentiment.
You would get thuapped.
Well said. Thank you.
Now that . . . . would be a hate crime.
Maybe some Freepers don't understand the issue. Congress is challenging SCOTUS for overturning its laws. This is a battle against judicial activism as much as it about the flag.
>> "The right should understand that the battle of ideas is won out in the open." <<
Of course, few are as well armed for that battle as is Mark Steyn.
I think Steyn was mistaken. I think "Duke" Cunningham was talking about the firemen and cops who stood on the ruins of the trade center, not the ones who died.
I can buy a Q'u'ºr'a''¿'n'¡" today and soak it gasoline and add a match and no government official can say "boo."
I think I'm going to replace all my Stars 'n Stripes with the Gadsden flag. The SnS, in my opinion, is fast becoming the Government Flag, not the flag of our nation. The Supreme Court robed tyrants, for instance, fly it all over the place as a symbol of their power to destroy liberty.
That was the biggest non sequitur I've ever seen.
Do you know the result of bombing buildings is worse than damage to one's FEEEEEEEEELINGS?
Its all symbolic -why the Yankees are allready putting up new buildings where the old worn out one was standing-price of progress don'tcha know. Buildingsa aint nothin'
I am? And to what purpose?
And I thought conservatives were against thought crimes and the "right" to not be offended.
If you own the building, you can do what you want with it.
Maybe you FEEEEEEL differently.
Back in 1969 when I was assigned my first "flag duty " at
Ft.Campbell KY Our school Commander had the foresight to
borrow from the USMC a little pamphlet titled How to respect and display OUR FLAG .NAVMC6915 (Rev.3-68) One of the few documents I've kept (another was the treasonous
Living at peace in a world without War State Dept. Document 7277 that set forth the three stage plan to disarm the US Military and Build up the United Nations in surrender of our national sovereignty. THe US Flag Code title 36,U.S.C.
chapter 10 As amended by P.L. 344, 94th Congress approved
July 7,1976 Seems our government corrupt as it has been
allowed get does have some disagreement with your opine that it is impossible to define. It's not su much about protectiong our flag as it is about correcting our oligarchy of Depsots who declared a despicable act to be
protected speech.Which it is NOT.
These are the similar thoughts on the flag amendment I have been mulling around in my head for the past month or so but have not been able to coherently organize and voice. He does it so perfectly!
Years ago, before I left home, we were driving somewhere after dark.
My father, who was a Korean war veteran, saw a flag on a post, even though you could hardly see it.
He went absolutely ballistic! He stopped, and wrote a note, and left it there, threatening the guy!
I guess according to his military training or whatever, he thought it was a severe breach of protocol to have a flag out at night and not have a light on it. Man, he was pizzed!
I couldn't agree more. SCOTUS overturned two laws, one state and one federal, by a 5 to 4 vote in the name of free speech. The fact that they sided with William Kuntsler makes it just that much worse. Something needs to be done about this judicial tyranny.
Well I have found something I disagree with Steyn on. Leave your paws off my flag. It might not matter to some, but it matters to many vetrans, and frankly they are the only ones whose opinion matters on this issue to me. My dad is one of them. Find some other way to express your displeasure and leave the flag alone.
