I'm surprised that some stupid laws didn't get in the way. This is wonderful!!
Things are a little bit different out here in the west. To a certain extent the Cowboy attitude of help your neighbor out are still strong. Though the politicians try they for the most part get slapped down over trying to stop stuff like this.
We had a Cub Scout Summer Day Camp this past Thursday through Sat and the city provided the dunk tank for dunk the leaders and sent out a pumper fire truck to fill it, the Border Patrol sent a patrolman out and did Kid Safe Finger Print Cards on all 112 youngster, the local stores either donated or deeply discounted the food, the local archery store and club sent an instructor out so the boy could do safe archery, the local NRA chapter sent 5 guys out to run the BB range to teach safe use and run the range, a local military unit provided 13, 5 gallon water jugs so that we had pelenty of water containers, a local Doctors office let one of it's LPN's - a mom of one of the youth - be there all three days as the on-site Nurse.
