Actually, the idiot cop even took the time to write a letter, so there's hard evidence.
And writing letters is illegal?
Okay, this is getting ridiculous. It is certainly extremely unprofessional, and almost certainly illegal, for a cop to abuse his access to privileged information by sending an unsolicited, demanding religious letter to someone he's dealt with in the line of duty.
And as for your constant implication that the couple is simply fabricating their story that he also abused his powers of detention and arrest to keep them captive while probing their religious beliefs, wouldn't you agree this letter gives them some additional credibility?
How do you know what these people said to the cop? Are you certain that they said nothing that invited a letter?
I will be safe and speak only for myself when I say that I am operating under the assumption that the couple did not say, uncoerced, something to the effect of "Please, officer, send me a creepy letter advocating your religion to our home!"

Okay, this is getting ridiculous Is it? When I was young and dumb, I was in a coven. Those people had a song and dance that you obviously have no knowledge of. I do. This story sounds VERY familiar to me. It's a shame that Freepers will buy their story and not question it at all.

They could have written the letter themselves.
They both live in Greer, so it wouldn't be hard to have it have the same postmark.

Thank you for your rational post! Does anyone here understand the difference between one's personal religious beliefs and one's role as a professional and government employee?
