Let's see, now... Barney Frank is gay, that's good. David Dreier might be gay, that's somehow bad. Liberals need to get their beliefs straight (no pun intended) Either it's OK to be gay or it isn't...

It's the same way with race.
Black official in a relatively low office (D) = Good, African Americans should be allowed into positions of power.
Black cabinet member or high court judge (R) = What? You can't do that! He's just a mindless pawn who is being used by the man!

"Let's see now...Barney Frank is gay, that's good. David Drier might be gay, that's somehow bad. Liberals need to get their beliefs straight. One must ask: If your 21 year old son wanted to be an intern (and say Dreir is gay), Who would you feel more comfortable having him work for, Dreir or Barney Frank?
David Dreir is our representative. He is well liked, and conservative on most issues. Nobody cares about his sexual orientation.
The liberals are never going to understand the difference between gay and militantly gay. Most people, including conservatives, have no problem with the former, but, despise the latter.

No, it's that he might be gay yet doesn't toe the gay rights line. It's like blacks who vote for Republicans, or Jews who oppose aid to Israel. How dare they be entitled to their own individual opinion?!?
