I hope Sandra retires, she has become an embarrassment as she drifts from one side to the other, always trying to split the baby.
But then she was only appointed because she was a female, and knew Renquist.
How often have we seen Day-O'Connor "providing the swing vote" for the liberal side? I also hope she is the one announcing retirement today.
Sandra is the justice which makes law in this country. It depends upon which side of the bed she wakes up on...or a flip of the coin. Congress needs to begin impeachment proceedings on 5 of the justices.

The evidence strongly suggests an obvious and conscious policy effort (read conspiracy) by the GOP that has purposely undercut the conservative agenda, while ensuring an ideological equilibrium in the Supreme Court is maintained.
Prediction:
Dubya Bush will stall further on any SC Justices before finally pulling the trigger on a "centrist" Republican. For as many appointments as he's "allowed" to make.
What about another Scalia or Thomas?? Fagetabout.
