I hope that you and your friends don't support a filibuster of conservative nominations to judgeships. If so, then you reap what you sow.
I rather like the way the Japanese handle "eminent domain". There isn't a right to take away. It's up to the Japanese government (national or local) to persuade the property owners to sell. There was a case in which an airport wanted to put in a new runway. They couldn't do it because one homeowner said "no".
