Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act prohibits religions discrimination by private employers and provides extensive remedies to aggrieved employees.
Yeah - I'm familiar with Title VII. And I don't think it provides as much protection as you think it does.
In 2 minutes I can come up with 10 ways an employer can fire/discipline an employee for what some might consider practing their religious beliefs & Title VII would offer no protection.
