Rita's contract was up, she played her hand with Ailes and lost, really stupid. Actually, she is pretty much on the conservative side.

Rita Cosby took off from work, the December before the Iraq war started, because her father died. Then she just kept putting off returning to work, even when the war started, and they had to send Laurie Dhue. When Cosby finally did return, he never got any of her old spots back.

CNN should be at the bottom, below PMSNBC. At least PMSNBC actually sparks some interest. CNN is just dead bor-ing.

It really is amazing to see the death spiral of the left-wing media in real time. And it's also quite fascinating to watch them adamantly persist in complete denial that it is the left-wing bias that is the reason why people are tuning out.

I think the news from the NY Times yesterday (that they need to broader their perspectives) is a very large event. It's the first time a major news organization has acknowledged that they can't keep going the way they're going.

Every other liberal news agency looks up to the NY Times -- they've all got to know soon that their game is over, and their options for the future are very limited.

The NY Times has been saying that for a while in lieu of making any actual change. They brought in an obstensibly independent "Public Editor" who mostly confirmed the left-wing bias.

I think they are so far gone in their erroneous conception of the world that they can't even comprehend what they would really have to do to become 'balanced'. It's like a sociopath trying to make himself feel empathy with another human being... he wouldn't recognize it even if he succeeded, he's incapable.

The left-wing bias market is as saturated as any media market ever has been.

They don't even know they're biased.

That's why it's called bias.

Really. MSNBC especially is so very low.

One day I'm going to record all three networks' nightly news hours - Fox, CNN and MSNBC - and compare them. I've never done it myself.

But then again there are better things to to . . .

Just curious....What's the problem? How come all the Libs can't, or don't watch their MSM network stuff to help keep their Liberal-biased ratings up?

I think you're right. Personally, I don't think any publication really can be neutral -- I think it's an impossible goal. So I don't see any way the Times or any other media outlet can be well-respected by both the left and right. There simply is no answer to the riddle they face.

She's not a conservative...she's a hidden liberal loon. I saw it during the election nightmare in 2000.

MSNBC forced Joe Scarborough to cancel Klein.

Guess the heinous ones control every network. FNC supposedly cancelled Klein as well.

At least Lou Dobbs had the guy on.

Brit mentioned that Media Research Center checked up on comments by Durbin and Rove. It really showed the bias. CBS never mentioned durbin, and it took the 'apology' (a week later) on the floor of the Senate for nbc and abc to mention durbin. Everyone mentioned Rove that night or the next day.
