Rita's contract was up, she played her hand with Ailes and lost, really stupid. Actually, she is pretty much on the conservative side.
FNC didn't renew her contract ~ they don't want her!
Rita Cosby took off from work, the December before the Iraq war started, because her father died. Then she just kept putting off returning to work, even when the war started, and they had to send Laurie Dhue. When Cosby finally did return, he never got any of her old spots back.
FOX is all tabloid all the time. Blackbird.
CNN should be at the bottom, below PMSNBC. At least PMSNBC actually sparks some interest. CNN is just dead bor-ing.
I think the news from the NY Times yesterday (that they need to broader their perspectives) is a very large event. It's the first time a major news organization has acknowledged that they can't keep going the way they're going.
Every other liberal news agency looks up to the NY Times -- they've all got to know soon that their game is over, and their options for the future are very limited.
I think they are so far gone in their erroneous conception of the world that they can't even comprehend what they would really have to do to become 'balanced'. It's like a sociopath trying to make himself feel empathy with another human being... he wouldn't recognize it even if he succeeded, he's incapable.
They don't even know they're biased.
That's why it's called bias.
(steely)
Take THAT, libs. We don't need your stinkin' news.
Really. MSNBC especially is so very low.
One day I'm going to record all three networks' nightly news hours - Fox, CNN and MSNBC - and compare them. I've never done it myself.
But then again there are better things to to . . .
I think you're right. Personally, I don't think any publication really can be neutral -- I think it's an impossible goal. So I don't see any way the Times or any other media outlet can be well-respected by both the left and right. There simply is no answer to the riddle they face.
Most news junkies are on the right, I think.
MSNBC day ratings indicate that 7/10ths of 1% of the population is tuning in...
She's not a conservative...she's a hidden liberal loon. I saw it during the election nightmare in 2000.
Guess the heinous ones control every network. FNC supposedly cancelled Klein as well.
At least Lou Dobbs had the guy on.
I would have to add John Gibson and Cal Thomas, at least.

Ok...I didn't know that happened...I just thought she left on her own. Smart move on FNC's part.
Brit mentioned that Media Research Center checked up on comments by Durbin and Rove. It really showed the bias. CBS never mentioned durbin, and it took the 'apology' (a week later) on the floor of the Senate for nbc and abc to mention durbin. Everyone mentioned Rove that night or the next day.
