"While Karl Rove was only intending to criticize Moveon.org and other radical Leftist groups, he hit far to close to the truth for the comfort of the Liberals on the Hill, who above all else do not want the American people to know what they really see as the signifigance of 9/11 in American history."
"To the Liberals, gaining political power at the expense of another 9/11 and a few thousand more American civilans dead, is a price well worth paying.

Normal patriotic Americans knew exactly what Rove was talking about.

Alternatively, he could apologize by saying how sorry he is that the liberals are anti-American and pro-terrorist.

"Normal patriotic Americans knew exactly what Rove was talking about."......which might mean that these liberal screamers don't have nearly the support that they somehow or other believe they do.

Right?

Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash. "We've got to ask, why is this man so popular around the world?" said Murray, according to the Vancouver Columbian newspaper. "Why are people so supportive of him in many countries that are riddled with poverty?" "out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building DAY CARE facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that."

Didn't include the entire quote for the esteemed Senator Murray. She is SOOOOooooooooooooooooooo STUPID that she thinks Bin Laden is building DAY CAR FACILITIES; you know, so that women can park their kids while they go off to work or something. How stupid do you have to be? What part of Muslim Jihadist Fundamentalist Fanatical Killer does she not understand? Certainly not the Fundamentalist Muslim part; because they don't think women should work outside the home. No working outside the home = No Day care facilities.

"So they voted for the War and Patriot Act in the hopes the War on Terror would be fast and clean, leaving plenty of time for the voters to forget about it before the next election cycle..."

While I'd be the first to chime in on the suggestion that Dems only voted as they did for political reasons, I actually think there is an overlooked item in all of this discussion. That is the possibility that lib/dems were actually VERY frightened by 9/11, knew they had no ideas, they knew their own incompetence in previous years on the matter of international terrorism would probably be exposed, and they recognized (though would never admit it) that adults were in charge.

Once they knew this administration was doing all it could to keep things in check (once again, something they wouldn't admit to) - sometime after the first anniversary of 9/11 - they started their incessant harping again.

I throw it out for discussion. Maybe, just maybe...they really were afraid for sorry butts, and now feel safe enough to be obstructionist whiners?

I can guarantee that's what Kerry, Pelosi, and Daschle talked about during that "40 minutes" where they claimed they couldn't speak.

You are so correct .. and it was Kennedy who said the democrats may not be in the majority in the senate .. but they "represented the majority of the American people".

Which is ludicruos!

Rev. Al has me in STITCHES!

Sewn as opposed to SOWN.

I remember the Democrats post 9/11 saying "Thank god Gore isn't president"

The morning talk show on WRKO Boston (yes, in MA) had as its poll question yesterday: What should Karl Rove do? Apologize? Resign? Nothing?

They read the results this morning. I forget the number for the first two, but "Nothing" got 72%.

It is the same station that carries Rush and Howie Carr, but the morning show isn't really conservative. Peter Blute is a Republican (former member of Congress, not liberal, but not really conservative), and Scotto is, well, it's hard to say . . . nuts? They were both sort of stammering when they read the results; they found it very hard to believe.

I remember the Democrats post 9/11 saying "Thank god Gore isn't president"

And I remember stories of people seen removing the Gore bumper stickers from their cars shortly after 9/11.

I'll never forget the admission by Gerald Posner -- who was a signatory on a full-page ad accusing President Bush of stealing the 2000 election -- that he in actuality did not know that Bush stole the election, but rather he thought he knew better than the voters so went along with the accusation. He thought the ends justified the means.

He said he was horror-stricken post-9/11 at how close Gore had come to winning the White House.

The liberals I know don't seem to understand the problem with their core belief, which is that the US would be so much better if it cherry-picked the "best" parts of socialism and discarded the parts about gulags and such. They simply have no ability to grasp that every system has its own good and bad elements, and you can't simply "pick" parts and graft them to a completely incompatible system.

The liberals argue (several have used these precise same words) "But socialism has never been done properly!" As I've said many times here, when capitalism is not done perfectly, there are people out of work; when socialism is not done perfectly, there are gulags and mass graves. And there's no such thing as perfect.

I've always wondered how many Democrats woke up 9/12/01 as Republicans.

"... they found it very hard to believe."

Yes .. even when presented with the TRUTH - the democrats/liberals are loathe to accept it. It's part of their arrogance that they know better than the lowly unwashed.
