It wasn't sloppy investigation, in my opinion he did a pretty good job, it was his denial of ever using the n word and then being proven wrong that hurt the case.

How investigators put something together is more interesting to me than the whodunit when the whodonit is gonna be a hedged bet that I've already heard announced.

The Schindler family had the stamina and guts to talk to anyone who was willing to listen to help them save their daughter from death.

But to say Fuhrman had no ability to easily access quite detailed information about Terri Schiavo is an outright lie, and I called you on it.
I do not remember meeting you outside the Hospice at any of the three times the feeding tubes providing food and water were pulled from the helpless body of Terri Schiavo.

Finished reading the book. Wow! Now that Terri is dead, a Grand Jury investigation of her collapse should proceed. Anyway, Michael Schiavo HIMSELF teases them with it - on her tombstone it reads that she died the day of her collapse. There is no statute of limitations on murder. Go Fuhrman!!

Um, no. What blew the OJ case was an abjectly incompetent prosecution team combined with an abysmally stupid jury.
Michael Schiavo cashed in on a life-insurance policy on Terri while she was still alive. Furthermore, he melted down her jewelry to make jewelry for himself. He had her two cats put to death. Does that sound like the "loving" husband he claimed to be.
After the award money came in, he REALLY BEGAN TO SHOW HIS TRUE COLORS. Being that the Schindler's were trusting, loving Christian types, it caught them by surprise . . . except for Terri's sister Suzanne. She never trust her brother-in-law. You go, girl!! She hired a private investigator to look into Terri's collapse.
After the money came in, Michael became obsessed with getting rid of Terri. Destroy the evidence. He's a pretty crafty dude.
The Schindler's are portrayed in Fuhrman's book as gullible, loving, innocent, naaive people who in the beginning just couldn't believe their son-in-law was capable of such evil. I imagine Laci Peterson's family thought the same - AT FIRST - about Scott.
Michael Schiavo was very lucky to have George Felos for his lead attorney and George Greer for his judge and jury . . . or was he?
The Death Cultists aren't going to like this book.

Mark Fuhrmann, of all people, should know the consequences of unsubstantiated and unprovable accusations. Shame on him. I guess he's forgotten what it's like to be the target of a witch hunt.
Mark Fuhrmann was helping a woman write a screenplay about LAPD cops. She wanted to get the flavor of the way they talk. He was giving her, FOR HER SCREENPLAY, examples of the things he had heard. It was innocent. She even testified to that. But that didn't matter, because once it's out there..it's out there. As is what Fuhrmann is doing to Michael Schiavo now. Ironic, isn't it?
