That's part of the training. There are so many desperate housewives on their routes, and they need to be prepared to dispense advice, and quite possibly solace.

I was reading through this thread and I gotta tell ya, some of the posters you're debating with ruthlessly attacked me on an Amber Frey thread when I was saying what a skank she was. They were singing her praises and flaming me unmercifully. Of course, this was before her background of dating married men and the nudie shots were splashed all over the internet so I had no ammunition to fight back with, just a hunch on my part. When all that stuff came out and discussed on FR, the flamers were nowhere to be found and I certainly got no apologies. My point is, if there are people who see Amber Frey as a saint for doing her civic duty (outing Snott Peterson) but think it's ok to pull the plug on an innocent woman, then you are fighting a losing battle.

Can you point this out to me? As far as I can tell, the posters are simply trying to point out the possible misconceptions about Terri, that she was perfect. In and of itself it is ridiculous to think that of anyone, and especially someone you never even knew personally. And IMO, to turn Terri into such a caricature, is demeaning to the person that Terri really was.
Sorry, I'm just really bitter about the flaming I took and one of the flamers that sung Skanky Amber's praises has been posting that Terri Shiavo ain't so innocent. That seems really odd to me.
I'm basically on the fence about Terri. I think that if her parents wanted to take care of her, it was no skin off of her husband's nose, he was just being vindictive against them. I didn't see the problem of divorcing the woman and walking away. I am speaking as a parent, btw.
Husband saying that Terri said she wouldn't want to live that way is heresay. That said, what's done is done. I don't necessarily agree with how this story concluded but, can't do anything about it now.
Joking around about the games you play is very immature.
You aren't discouraging us, you aren't shutting us up, you aren't intimidating us and you darn sure aren't changing our minds.
I cringe when I think what a bad impression you are leaving people about FR in regards to euthanasia and the killing of Terri. At least people can see it's a small minority who think that it was ok to kill Terri.
On the bright side, on other threads I happen to agree with most of you and disagree with some that I agree with on the Terri Schindler Schivao situation.
Before you spout off about people freeping while at work, you should know that I own my own businesses so I'm my own boss. :)
I think that people latch on to these cases and simply make them too much a part of their lives. They create their own reality and refuse to listen to anything that might interfere with that. Really sad, IMHO.
That's true of both sides on this issue. Probably time to let it go, there's other fish to fry.

You know, I read those threads very occasionally and I saw the bashing of Frey. It was unseemly.
Since you want to compare tenor and tone of threads and posts, I'll say that this attachment to either/or extremes is typical of this topic and the Frey bashing topic. Complete with hysterical and lurid wording.
Saying Frey did a good thing and supposing she just might have been on a path to turning her life around is not "making her a saint".

Let's see, we have affairs and children with married men (not snot), plenty of nudie shots that I can post a link to, if needed, and profiting on the death of Lacy and Connor. Yep, she's one hell of a great woman and I hope my daughters emulate her.
