Picasso, I'm a hot shot and knew this. But his signature is on the flowers :)

Most are Picassos, but there's a Cezanne, a Degas or two and a Gauguin in there.

A few more artists besides Picasso in the mix there..... although I have to say that I tend to forget how impressive Picasso's abilities really were. So of those shown that are his, I didn't identify with him at all.

My first recollection is always of his cubist stuff. I don't care much for the cubist approach - most of it looks like a dyslexic 7 year-old got the BIG box of crayons for Christmas. Picasso, however, had the ability to paint impressively and beautifully in almost any style

Well, the first Cezanne is very recognizable, the second not as much. And the 3rd pic is a Picasso.
The 4th I wouldn't have recognized as Klimt, if I hadn't just seen it yesterday.
The 5th I don't know.
6th looks like maybe Gaugin.
7th is a signed and famous Picasso.
8th thru 12th , I don't know.

I never saw your post of the correct answers for yesterday's quiz.

Cubism reflects Picasso's ability to paint in three dimensions on a flat canvas.

If you have a ping list for the Art Quiz, would you please put me on it?

Threads like these are just one of the many reasons I love FR.

Good idea. Thanks for the ping. Some of the artwork looks familiar, but (without their signature) I could not tell you any of the artists.

How can any art appreciation exercise not include a discussion of such masterpieces as "Piss Christ"?

re:#11 pic is this guy

of course I could be sent to the back of the class for only identifying one. But you have answers to most of them by now. :^] And for those you don't I'd only be guessing.

Because "Piss Christ" is passe. The artworld and many a grumpy Hindu are talking about "Piss Ganesha."
