Americans held in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Iran said yesterday they clearly recall Iranian President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad playing a central role in the takeover, interrogating captives and demanding harsher treatment for the hostages.

"As soon as I saw his picture in the paper, I knew that was the bastard," said retired Army Col. Charles Scott, 73, a former hostage who lives in Jonesboro, Ga.

"He was one of the top two or three leaders," Col. Scott said in a telephone interview. "The new president of Iran is a terrorist."

I'm not surprised.

Looks like Iran stepped in it. This won't help them any, at all, with the US.

Charlie Glib son questioned one of the former hostages and with a tone of skepticism asked him how he could be sure that this was the same man. It seemed that Glib son was attempting to discredit the ex-hostage. I wonder if anyone in the old media would like to compare the way the hostages were treated to the way the prisoners at GIMO are being treated.

Labeling Islamists "conservative" is one their favorite pastimes.

The new President of Iran can slip seamlessly into the current USA Democrat Party. Like the Democrat Party, he is a certified America hater!!! Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will welcome him with open arms!!! He'll soon be making the rounds with Howard Dean!!!

I wonder why the US Government hasn't said something about this one way or the other. They should know if he is or not.

Then again, I guess I really don't have to wonder why....

Fox ran some old tapes from the Iran Hostage coverage while they interviewed Col Scott this morning.....it sure looked like a younger "student" version of this guy to me!

Yes, the statement says more about how the Leftist Press views us U.S. citizens than him.

Ok, he was one of the Hostage takers.
1 Is anyone suprised?
2 What can we (America) do about it?
(hint: not a darn thing)

As the old saying goes "Life is full of disappointments...and this is one of them...deal with it."

Paging Ross Perot.

Mr. Rafsanjani, remember that it doesn't pay to piss off a short, mean, rich Texan. Did I mention rich (as in Billions to spend on bringing you to justice.)

I foresee that Perot Systems just might be gaining a lucrative contract from the Israeli government in the near future. ;)
