I heard a quote of someone saying to another, crying "I knew this was going to happen one day." They could go for or against us in the aftermath. They seem pretty wobbly. I think their strength will win the day, but it may be touch and go for a while. Thank God Blair turned out to be such a strong wartime leader, even if he is a bloody socialist. It's maybe not such a bad thing to be a socialist in a war when there's an overwhelming priority. Just in peacetime when you're trying to encourage growth and development.

This wouldn't be related to the London attack, of course.
