I didn't understand your original post, either. Here is what you wrote:

I had to look up "id est" to see if it's a Latin term. I found out that it means "that is," but what does "that is he admits abortion" mean? I think your post is unclear.

Ok, I re-write my opinion: Gonzo is NOT pro-life, because he would admit abortion in many cases. Anyway, it's not so uncommon to find people saying that we could be "moderately" pro-life, that is sometimes pro-abortion... For me there is only this alternative: pro-life or not, pro-abortion or against. That's all.
