NEW YORK An attorney for Karl Rove, President Bush's chief political adviser, confirmed to the Washington Post on Saturday that his client did speak with Time magazine's Matthew Cooper in July 2003. But the lawyer said Rove never identified Valerie Plame as a CIA operative to Cooper in those conversations.
The attorney, Robert Luskin said that Patrick Fitzgerald, the special prosecutor in the Plame case, assured him in October and again last week that Rove is not a target of his investigation.
"Karl did nothing wrong. Karl didn't disclose Valerie Plame's identity to Mr. Cooper or anybody else," Luskin told the Post. Luskin said the question remains unanswered: "Who outed this woman? ... It wasn't Karl."
..."Cooper has said that more than one confidential source is identified in his e-mails and the notes of interviews he conducted in July 2003," the Post reported.

OK, it was me. You journalists are off the hook.
That about sums it up for O'Donnell and the Dems. Dreaming of a scandal is all they have left. That's why the liberal press screamed for a special prosecutor, even though
1. They knew no crime was committed.
2. They lost important legal protections in a Supreme Court case.
3. One of their reporters may go to prison.
None of that matters because they hate Bush so much and they are so very, very desperate for a scandal that they have lost their minds.
That's why O'Donnell said what he did. They are at the point of throwing anything against the wall and hoping it will stick. These people will do anything - lie, forge documents, even send themselves to prison if it means getting sweet revenge on Bush.
You have to understand that for liberals, their politics is their religion, and they are in a holy war against conservative Christians (like the Muslims). Religious fervor is more about emotion than logic.
The more successful Republicans become, the more preposterous and desperate their reaction will be.
MSNBC should order O'Donnell to resign, immediately. He is not only spreading lyings, but is now out right committing comments which are libel.
Re your post #18 - I honestly thought your post was intended to be sarcastic, but since you were not intending that, my apologies to you.
Sound like a site where DUers get their fantasies.
I can't remember when I've seen SO MUCH misinformation and out and out lies in ONE paragraph.
Is that web site suppose to be a real representative of editors and publishers across this country?
At the end of the tag, add a "height=375 width=500"
Wilson is in love with himself and his image, isnt he?
Re your post #16 - You are very welcome. And, I understand what you were trying to say on the other thread about this whole matter, with this being old news re Karl Rove talking to someone. These reporters like Lawrence O'Donnell seem to me the type who WANT to scream "FIRE" in a theater, whether there's a fire or not.
Apology accepted. My post was not intended to be sarcastic just to the point...that being...who wouldn't want and expect their lawyer to say his client didn't do it?
The great thing is that the more outrageous their lies and exagerrations become, the less the public will believe their accusations against Bush.
In the same vein, I wonder if the Klein book on Hillary was a plant to defuse future accusations against Hillary.
Thanks... I was to eager to expose myself as the exposer.
Thanks. :)
The thing is, though, that they have raised the bar so high now with their outrageous accusations that they are REALLY going to have to "go some," as my daddy use to say, to up the ante, if you will.
Can murder accusations be far away?
No problem. That pic has been posted several times before.
Old O'Donnell bought the farm

MR. O'DONNELL: Look, it's not our job to lie about war to make troops feel good. And I don't care what they feel.
MR. BLANKLEY: I don't --
MR. MCLAUGHLIN: Let me finish.
MR. O'DONNELL: I don't care what they feel about the truth of this war. If John Kerry thinks this war is a mistake and if the United States of America elects him president, the troops are going to have to live with that. And they know better than anyone else whether it was a mistake or not.
MR. BUCHANAN: The commander-in-chief should not undermine the troops --
MR. O'DONNELL: He's not undermining anything.
MR. MCLAUGHLIN: Do you want to make a point here?
MR. BUCHANAN: He'd demoralize them.
MR. MCLAUGHLIN: All right, the human --
MR. O'DONNELL: I don't care if they're demoralized. They have to go to war and be prepared --
MR. BUCHANAN: The commander-in-chief does care.
MR. O'DONNELL: -- to live with the debate that goes on in the United States about whether it's right or wrong.
MR. BUCHANAN: But if you're going to be commander-in-chief, you cannot be demoralizing the troops in wartime, even if you think the war is a mistake.

He was a 3rd rate diplomat that got nowhere on his talents and skills... had to ride his wife (no pun intended) to some level of notoriety.
