NEW YORK An attorney for Karl Rove, President Bush's chief political adviser, confirmed to the Washington Post on Saturday that his client did speak with Time magazine's Matthew Cooper in July 2003. But the lawyer said Rove never identified Valerie Plame as a CIA operative to Cooper in those conversations.
The attorney, Robert Luskin said that Patrick Fitzgerald, the special prosecutor in the Plame case, assured him in October and again last week that Rove is not a target of his investigation.
"Karl did nothing wrong. Karl didn't disclose Valerie Plame's identity to Mr. Cooper or anybody else," Luskin told the Post. Luskin said the question remains unanswered: "Who outed this woman? ... It wasn't Karl."
..."Cooper has said that more than one confidential source is identified in his e-mails and the notes of interviews he conducted in July 2003," the Post reported.

Clinton White House never, never, never, never, ever "leaked" anything, except on a blue dress in the Oval Orifice!!!

Don't mention it. This latest thing with Rove is a joke, no? Weren't the dems just saying a while back during the Durbin controversy that such things are distractions? No double standard there, is there?
Peace :-)

We already know they are willing to lie and forge documents. Beyond that, who knows? They've tried to pull down Delay, and know they are hoping to nail Rove.
I wouldn't put it past them to come up with another Anita Hill sex scandal/accusation against someone high up. Just find some woman to say "Karl Rove fondled me at a party". No witness needed, just her word against his. Then drag it on for months and months hoping that some of it will stick.

It is a joke. So far, now, I am getting that he testified and answered questions, gave permission for reporters to talk, and his lawyer says he didn't leak any classified info, and he is not a target of any investigation -- yet the Dems have him resigning as a result. I am not quite following the Dem logic, but since the MSM won't report that Rove gave the same permission to reporters that the Dem Libby did, I don't see there is much chance the Dem posters will be discussing that aspect of O'Donnell's "big scoop."

"...You journalists are off the hook." Just to be clear, I was not praising them (yo, your off the hook!), I was trying to take the fall for them!

And they will continue to lose elections

I do think Monica Crowel is off the hook!

O'Donnell called for a "serious discussion around secession of the blue states from the red states calling the red states "welfare clients".. back in November 2004.
He's looney tunes now. Sorry Elmer, Bugs, meant no disrespect!

I don't expect you to do the same, but I visited DU earlier. Nearly every thread there was on the topic of Rove. Nine out of then at least. Those people are obsessed! :-)
I guess Rove to them is what Carville is to us.
Carville...now that's one strange individual.

LOL... I honestly think they are somewhat jealous of him, as they wish they had their own version of him. (I don't think their version is Carville.)

Have a nice night, what's left of it, anyway.

I think Carville's only job was to "kneecap" Clinton detractors. Rove is a true threat to the democrat brain trust (what little is left).
To: summer
Of course they are jealous,KR outflanks them at every turn and hopefully this is ripe to set them up again to look like babbling idiots.

I saw one Dem site is questioning the "scoop" aspect now.
