You can't fool the public, which is why President Bush won in 2004...
BUT, the dems' egos, and George Soros' money, and the lobbying done by NARAL, and NOW, and NAMBLA (?) and other special interest groups, all make for a desperate party with NO NEW IDEAS that the "public" would fall for...
so we will be called evil conservatives, and love it, which will really drive the dems batty!!! LOL
Glad to see that you think it will be Garza. I do too. I thought I read somewhere where he clerked for Scalia? Is that true? I sure hope so. He's also a former Marine, another plus for him. For what little I know about Gonzales, I don't see anything like Scalia or Thomas in him.
I agree.
Know your enemy.
One of the keys reasons we watch all these show every week. Not to discover what we already know but what tricks the rats are up to next. You have their number Txsleuth!
Blair has gone to Singapore to push for London maybe they will met
I agree! Sen.Frist is a fine and honorable man.
I was wrong though on what show Leahy was on...it must have been MTP...
I am pretty sure that Leahy is the one that seemed to accentuate the "conservative" several times...but I didn't see MTP, just sound bites on other Sunday shows...hmmm.
I guess I will have to check MTP's replay tonight...
But, Dianne Feinstein IS on Fox News now, and she got a little testy once or twice...I know once, when McConnell said he felt they should get the new justice in place by October...and Feinstein might have accidently played the "Boltonized" card, by saying that O'Connor said her resignation is official "when" the new justice is sworn in...
I fell a "STALL" coming on...
I didn't see his whole interview .. Good catch
As for Diane's comment .. we thought they would stall when we saw the letter
McConnel called on Diane about stalling
Just saw that too but McConnell spanked her good explaining we still have 90 days. She looked mad but like Rush says she probably had her thong on too tight.
I really hate to be critical, but did you guys notice that when Dianne talks, she kind of asks a question with her inflection, in the middle of a sentence that isn't a question...
She just puts her emPHAsis on the wrong syLLABles!!!
Nan Aron, and all of these lefties keep talking about Ginsberg, whose ideas are about as far out as Howard Deans...and they seem like SHE is should be the model that Bush should use!
Over my dead body...not only is she a NUT, but she believes in using foreign law in her decisions!
MAINSTREAM, MAINSTREAM---I am starting to really hate that word.
I think you're right on the mark. But I am hopeful it will backfire in this instance. (Of course I'm assuming the GOP has its talking points ready...I DO have a lot of faith in the team of Boyden Gray, Ken Mehlman and Karl Rove).
If Dems try to denigrate the term "conservative", our side should take the opportunity to educate the public on what "conservative" judicial philosophy is and how it differs from liberal philosophy. When the media tries to change the subject to the latest sallacious rumor, Republicans should jump all over them and remind them of the import of having the public understand the constitution and how it envisions upholding the law.
If pubbies play this smart, the public will be with them. Let legislatures, not courts, legislate.
You are right, and Karl Rove has already fired the first salvo in that speech at the Conservatives of New York dinner, ...
THAT is why the dems went berserk, I'm not sure they went berserk just because he labeled them "liberal", but because he was dead on, in the speech about the differences between conservatives and liberals..
One thing the dems did manage to accomplish by their huffing and puffing, was take any attention from Rove's actual message about how dangerous the libs would be in taking care of the defense of this country.
I remember that show very well. Jonah Goldberg was on the show and later said he wished he had challenged her but was just so taken aback by what she said. She always seemed bitter to me.
It's news to me that the CNN anchor is her daughter. I've always thought she is pretty, but not too bright. Seems like CNN has relatives of DNN operatives on its payroll.
No doubt slick willie will show up on the scene.
I remembered Jonah being on the panel...but I didn't remember what was said after Julianne said that, because I was so shocked by now only what she said, but the fact that she was so "proud" to be so anti-American....
I have seen her go on panels on C-span now and then, but I always turn it off when she starts to speak...she insulted me and my veteran husband and father that day, so she doesn't deserve my attention...
Unfortunately, I am afraid that there are a lot of Juliannes in the Cong. Black Caucus, which is not helpful.
I was just on a new thread that was talking about the probable new head of the NAACP, and the trouble he is going to have with the members, because he wants to start a dialogue and possible interaction with the White House...
Too bad.
Except for Duncan Hunter - he's a very very strong conservative.
I beg your pardon .. Duncan Hunter is NOT A RINO!!
My thought too
