I was watching Fox News this afternoon and they had a long segment about the Special Forces missing in Afghanistan..

They had on Gen. McInerney. He said he knows a lot about this that he can't tell, but that the military is all over this, and the men that are missing have been trained for these kinds of circumstances and the fact that one have been found alive is a really good sign about the others...

The did a long segment, but luckily they acknowledged up front that they couldn't get into specifics at all, which seems like a first..

It seems like the media and the TV arm chair generals do TOO much talking IMHO during these times.

Thanks, I was hoping that the lack of coverage was actually a nod to the Pentagon's wishes.

Now that is one show I have stopped watching when it seemed like every week they had a different author of a bash Bush book. One right after another...and they gave the segments almost the whole hour...

Plus it is on CBS...blech

Agreed. I'd love CeCe to take Crash Test with Juan!

I seldom watch it either.
It's just that I had seen the Orange County Chopper show five times and you can only take so much of Sr's yelling.

Too right on Nan Aron -- in addition she has the whinyest voice and faux reasonable schtick -- a real aural pain.

And .. ordinarily they might not have to .. but the law says they do this time BECAUSE IT'S A CRIMINAL CASE - which is what they wanted. It's the usual .. in their lust to damage the Bush admin (and Karl Rove) they ended up shooting themselves in the foot - again..

Would you believ he's from the same tiny, Kansan dustbowl truckstop as Bob Dole?

Would you believe that the name of this tiny Kansan town is actually, "Liberal." (yes, he was born in the "big city": Wichita.)

You seem to suffer under the notion that liberalism is nothing more than conservativism, and conservativism is nothing nore than anti-liberalism. It is quite possible for someone to hold opinions which are quite repugnant to both conservatives and liberals.

Oops: that should correct my previous error.

How do you figure Gonzalez is a constitutionalist? The guy is wrong on guns, abortion, affirmative action, and borders,

WARNING: INCOMING CHEAP SHOT!

Or did you mean Mexico's constitution?

Lindsey Graham is one of the seven snakes who will back Bush's nominee if it comes down to rounding up 50 votes to blunt a filibuster. We need to figure out one more vote to get to 50. I'm not sure that there is not a Democrat among the 50 who wants to get re-elected.

>> Arlen then said.."I'm talking..the question was to me..you're starting the filabuster early, Ted. I've read your statement on Friday. It wasn't helpful. I'm prepared for you." <<

Sadly, that quote is just the opposite of what it appears like in print. Arlen was stalling for time by ironically joking around with his buddy, so he wouldn't hav e to say anything supportive of Bush's nominee. It was truly disgusting.

Arlen had just minutes earlier eviscerated the notion of originalism, insisting that if Bork had been appointed, we would still have segregation. It was nothing short of a vow to wage all holy Hell against Bush if he picks a conservative

Is that who Gaylord Nelson is? I though they were referring to the senior senator from Florida. *snicker*

Isn't it amazing how a serious illness helps to give people a little clarity ..??

It's about time people started standing up to these idiots and questioning their idiotic statements.

What the repubs don't seem to understand is that if they would just stand up to these people - the dems would be cowed - instead of the other way around.
