I think it's because we're hearing so much about the WOT...there wasn't much new.

However, the stuff about Hiss and McCarthy et al is fresh because it's not being discussed. I hope more and more material comes out on this time period. I think the public will soak it up.

Carter was actively working to aid America's enemies to the detriment of the United States and our allies.

He was and is.

It's a jungle out there Captain.....

I just watched General George Washington played by Jeff Daniels - on - The History Channel - this glorious 4th of July, 2005

Jeff Daniels has acted the comic fool in many movies - but as Geo. Washington - Daniels was amazingly convincing and I was drawn into the fire and heat of his attack and victory over the Hessions in Trenton on a frozen Christmas morn.

Now that GFU and others have taken up the radiowaves we must encourage many more others to take our place with him.

To all of my friends in south Florida and New England and North Carolina and at Fort Jackson, Fort Benning, and Fort Bragg - I wish you all a great 4th of July!

To all our American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere abroad and in the USA and all of our coalition allies and the people fighting for their freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan - I give my admiration and support.

......and goodnight Sargent Love - wherever you are -

- I know you enjoyed those bottles of scotch and bourbon......

Alger Hiss was a law clerk for Oliver Wendell Holmes.

Hiss was one of Felix Frankfurter's "Little Wieners" and Frankfurter recommended him for the position. Some suspicion has been cast on Frankfurter's own political ideas but no damning proof has emerged that he was a C/communist.

Poor Dick Nixon was never 'forgiven' by the MSM for exposing Hiss. IMHO, MSM, with Daley's brazen aid, allowed JFK to be 'selected not elected' over Nixon in 1960!

When I was a kid, I thought Alger Hiss was a cousin of Rudolf Hess.

How Many Members Of The U.S. Congress
Are Self-Declared Socialists?

The following FAQ will help clarify a few facts:

Q: What is the Socialist International?

A: It is the worldwide organization of socialist, social democratic and labor parties. It currently brings together 131 political parties and organizations from all continents. Its origins go back to the early international organizations of the labor movement of the last century.* It has existed in its present form since 1951, when it was re-established at the Frankfurt Congress. They are now headquartered in London, England.

* In 1864, representatives of English and French industrial workers founded the International Workingmen's Association in London. Karl Marx, who was living in London at the time, became the First International's dominant figure. Marx's doctrines were revived in the 20th century by Russian revolutionary Vladimir Ilich Lenin, who developed and applied them – and we all know that what was started as a labor movement ended up as the biggest totalitarian/communist state, i.e., the USSR.

Q: What is the Democratic Socialists of America [DSA]?

A: It is the largest socialist organization in the United States, and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International.

Q: What are seven principles behind what the DSA's calls it's "Progressive Challenge?"

Dignified Work
Environmental Justice
Economic Redistribution
Democratic Participation
Community Empowerment
Global Non-Violence
Social Justice.

Never mind their soothing-sounding leftist doublespeak like 'Environmental Justice' (whatever that is supposed to mean) or the soft & fuzzy 'Global Non-Violence' (a euphemism for unilateral disarmament) — the DSA's self-declared principle of 'Economic Redistribution' clearly shows where these folks are coming from and exactly where they plan to take America.

Q: How many members of the U.S. Congress are also members of the DSA?

A: Fifty-six!

Q: How many of the DSA members sit on the Judiciary Committee?

A: Six: John Conyers [who will become Chairman of the Judiciary Committee if the Democrats re-take control of the House], Barney Frank, Jerrold Nadler, Robert Scott, Melvin Watt, and Maxine Waters [there are 16 Democrats on the Judiciary Committee of which six (38%) are now members of the DSA].

Q: Who are these members of Congress?

A: See the table below

I heard Alger Hiss give a lecture at Ohio University in the mid-70's. Of course, this was just after Watergate when Nixon-bashing was at its peak.

Hiss avoided talking about his specific case and instead spoke in generalities about current foreign policy. When asked by a questioner about his case, Hiss went on about how the evidence they got on him was acquired illegally, blah, blah, blah.

He never came out and said "I was framed!", instead, he used lawyerly evasions to defend himself.

I walked away from that lecture convinced that Hiss was guilty of spying as accused.

"Wow, that pretty much says it all, right there."

Hess wrote the UN charter.

Read the book Witness by Whittaker Chambers.
