sounds like a self correcting problem. Not really, lots of married men have gay sex outside of marriage and spread diseases to the unknowing spouse, these diseases won't stay in the gay community.

That seems a sweeping statement that the numbers don't support.
Homosexuals are a very small portion of the population, despite how loud they are. If "lots" of married men were having gay sex and spreading HIV/AIDS, then you would have a much higher proportion of women with HIV/AIDS that were not drug users and/or promiscuous.
