I saw this film this afternoon. It was actually boring. Spielberg has soiled himself in so many ways with this film that JR's bandwidth would be strained with a complete account. Suffice it to say, the poorly shot film does what many brainless modern films do - project modern liberalism into classic works of the past or inject post-modern ideology into otherwise unrelated themes. There are so many broken plot elements in this film it might have been edited in a Cuisinart. My advice, don't waste your cash. If you must see it, wait for the video to come out and even then rent it on midweek bargain nights. In a nutshell - it sucked. Rent the 50's version or listen to Well's radio play in the dark with a bowl of popcorn.
