Catholic Ping - Please freepmail me if you want on/off this list
This is one time I can praise the French for something. At least one French Catholic Bishop. I wonder how many American bishops would have been so bold.
Now if only some US Cardinal would have the guts to give old Ted Kennedy and other CINO (Catholic in name only) pro abortion politicians the same treatment.
If she can claim to be a priest, then can't she claim to be un-excommunicated?..........I mean, if she can make her own rules to suit herself she can disregard any she doesn't like.......
Why are the US Bishops so lacking in intestinal fortitude?
In a way I bet these radicals went outside the USA in order to GET this reaction.
That cardinal looks like Michael Kinsley (sp?).......
As St Paul said:
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.2 Thessalonians 3:6
These Cardinals need to excummunicate some of those who claim to be Catholic such as, Kerry, Kennedy, etc. etc..
Well, that didn't take long. Good, she got the Cardinal Zot!
Question: How does one recognize who Peter is speaking about in Acts 2:17?
From Joel 2:28-31
17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days' saith God, "I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on My servants and on MY handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
As it should be. If she wants to head up a church, she could move over to C of C.
REALLY young cardinal.
Perhaps the next pope. Whodda thunk such a man would come from secular France?
But, then the PanzerPope is from secular Germany.
for Benedict XVI!
People naturally follow strength and shun weakness. If more of our bishops were strong in the Faith, we'd be in a much better place right now.
Beney operates under the obvious delusion that anyone cares what she considers "just." The cardinal is showing some real promise here. Good for him.
Pruning is good. The Church will grow back fuller and stronger someday. Thank God in heaven for B16.
What I don't understand.....are these women saying that there is no fufilling work for women within the Catholic Church because they can't say mass? That they can't make a difference? They can't influence people??
Blessed Mother Teresa didn't make a difference, or partake in fufilling work? Nor was she influential?
What about the numerous ordained nuns performing missionary work, educating young people as teachers, school administrators, administrators of small churches without regular pastors?
For that matter, what about the thousands upon thousands of women who aren't even ordained? Lay people working in ministry as well as teachers at Catholic elementary and high schools and universities? Not doing meaningful work? Not influential???
There would be no church if it weren't for all the women handling all the responsibilities I've just mentioned. Why is this one issue such a big deal?
Women
"This act . . . does not fulfil any of the conditions required by the Catholic Church, and such a ceremony unequivocally constitutes a serious act of rupture with the Catholic Church," Lyon's Cardinal Barbarin corrected in a statement, according to a Reuters report. "There will be no truth to the words that will be pronounced," Barbarin said before the ceremony. "For many Catholics, this will be a source of useless injury and suffering."
