In article posted at WND.com: More Data on the Dems Rejecting ANY attempt to halt illegal immigration

R-Ray Haynes says:

Haynes said California officials should "quit whining about the federal government doing their job and actually get about the business of doing our job – protecting the safety, health and quite frankly the pocketbook of the people of the state of California."

At end of the article:

Opponents said the Wyland amendment could boost health costs by denying preventive care to illegal immigrants and would raise equal protection questions by denying benefits to the U.S. citizen children of those immigrants.

Pure "implied threat" from the dems.

There was no way this was going to get through the Democratically controlled legislature. I believe the the the people that proposed this law plan to put this on the ballot in 06.

Oh, the c'Rats are very concerned about the security of our borders,, I'm sure they want the illegals issue resolved to the betterment of all the citizens of this state and nation.

Their refusal to even try to do much at all is indicative of the way this state is headed, unfortunately.

No Sanity, No Hope.

This really sucks. It is indicative of a state controlled by power-centric radical leftists that ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN THEIR OWN EMPOWERMENT through the vote. They do not care what it costs, what it destroys, who it hurts. They are so sick with maintaining power, they will sink our entire state...they are absolutely MAD with power-lust.

Californian has probably 4 million or more illegal aliens. This equates to about 5 or 6 US representatives for the state for which they are not entitled and also skews the way the state districts are laid out. Guess which way those representatives lean.

When terrorists cross the Rio Grande and blow up several thousands of Californians, or more, will the assembly think they should have done more to protect the border and stop luring illegals into the country with free health care, free education, free this and that? I wouldn't count on it. Stupid is as stupid does.

I am a 60 yr old hard working legal woman in this country, I have worked my whole life, self supported my 4 kids with no child support or welfare, my youngest son stayed with my oldest son less than a year in 1988 as I was so down & out at the time I lived in woods for awhile. My son went to welfare to get medical for a root canal, they talked them into all the benefits, my younger son NEVER got the root canal, and the State of California has ruined my life her in Nevada by hounding me into court, taking my drivers license, etc to pay back the unnecessary $2,000(now + interest) and the illegals are getting HOW MUCH that does not have to be paid back?????I would call THAT discrimination & if I could find someone to sue for me I would do it and maybe that would get enough national attention to finally wake Washington up...thank you
