BANGALORE, July 8 (Reuters) - Microtek Medical Holdings Inc. (MTMD.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday said it expected second quarter 2005 revenues to rise about 14.2 percent to $34.5 million. The medical safety equipment maker said in a statement it saw revenue of about $68.2 million for the first six months of 2005, an increase of 14.6 percent over the comparable year-ago period.
One analyst expected the Alpharetta, Georgia-based company to have revenue of $35.1 million for the second quarter of 2005, according to Reuters Estimates.
What do you think about this company?
You'd better hope their books are clean.
Touting, misspelled.
Now, touting I guess is something I can relate to. The company does seem to be doing pretty well and has been doing well for the past two quarters. It might be something to look at. Tried to tell people on here about Mirant when it was around .30 - .40 per share. Today it's trading around .92 a share. Also mentioned Calpine (CPN) when it dropped to 1.32-1.39 range. It is almost triple that now. Check my prior postings...
you should restrict your stock hyping to Yahoo message boards and the like.
Thanks for the advice. The stock dropped a bit today in spite of the good news because one (1) analyst had predicted revenues of around 35 million and revenues are estimated to be only 34.5 million and "fell short" of that analysts expectations. Too funny. Now, at this time last year, revenues were 30.5 million so they're up a bit, but so what. LOL. Thanks Steve.
If you ever catch me hyping a worthless stock, you be sure to post that here somewhere. And, I'm tired of trying to get decent info on the finance boards...all they want to talk about is politics. Funny, huh? I get the best financial information/advice right here on Free Republic, the source of truth.
