The only reason they say "Bush lied" about anything is to try to equate him with their favorite perjurer, Bill Clinton. It fries them that BJC was impeached for 'just lying about sex' when it didn't hurt anyone! Thus their line, "Bush lied, people died" - to contrast him to BJ.

Don't bother saying that BJ too thought Saddam had the weapons - they don't listen to reason. 4-word slogans are as far as they go.

I saw it, I thought Jr. was gonna cry!

LOL!! He is the WORST interviewer, much worse than Olberhair--who can at least manipulate the line of questioning to get the answers he wants from his liberal guests.

I've always respected Hitchens even when I disagreed with all of his positions because he seemed to be sincere and more interested in what he saw as the truth instead of "Gotcha!" crap. Reading that exchange, I can just see that look in his face as he was probably thinking "Why do I have to deal with this NINNY!"

They're actually in "Vietnam" mode and they believe if they just have anti-war protests and go on the radio and TV and say WE'RE LOSING THE WAR - we will give up and come home.

Ain't gonna happen.

It's hard to believe we're still arguing about this stuff.

It's ironic that the "Bush Lied!" crowd incessantly appeal to "The Big Lie" in order to pound their position home.

1) George Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. This is a charge that has been repeated ad nauseum by opponents of the war, but the claim that Bush "lied" about stockpiles of WMDs doesn't hold up to the least bit of scrutiny.

Respectful question: When exactly did George Bush lie about weapons of mass destruction? Where is the quote? I have NEVER heard President Bush lie about this important question.

He did say that we should not wait while these dangers gathered. But I never heard him say that we were going to war to relieve Saddam of his weapons of mass destruction.

Yes, I like John Hawkins' style too. Good writing supported by facts, not emotions.

Hating Bush will not defeat Islamic terrorism.

"Once you understand one crucial fact, that numerous prominent Democrats with access to intelligence data also openly declared and obviously believed that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, it becomes nearly impossible for a rational person to believe that Bush lied about WMDs in Iraq."

There is little indication that many, or maybe even most, Democrats, are rational.

But a nice summary of counter-points, even though attempting to use rational argumentation often (generally?) falls on deaf ears, with Lefties. Logical analysis to a Leftie is like holy water to a vampire.

>>This is a great reference tool to combat the propagandists who surround us.

The Big Lie aspect of what Leftists in this country are doing is just incredible, and cannot be denied when given scrutiny.
