To: Infantry Grunt 1968-69

The Koran says it is acceptable (or is it recommended?) to mislead and lie to infidels. Does he agree with this? Are you (and the rest) unclean and therefore can be lied to about intentions?

That's like one of those riddles. Whether he's lying or telling the truth, he's going to say that lying to infidels is not acceptable.

What should be asked is "If I asked you if you believe it is ok to lie to infidels, would you say 'yes?'"

That would force him to tell the truth. If he believes lying is ok, he would say 'no', so that would force him to say "yes, i would say yes," which he wouldn't. If he does NOT believe lying is ok, he would say 'no, i would not say yes' and would be telling the truth.
