I was reminded why I mostly post in this thread earlier today. ;-) Guess I shouldn't hold grudges. Some people talk to much , considering their posts show they really don't understand what's going on. Then again, my girlfriend calls me pompous when I talk politics... so, I suppose I might be.

I seriously doubt you are pompous. Some folks just feel threatened when someone knows more about a subject than they do. It would probably help them in the long run if they would just look at it as an opportunity to gain more knowledge. Besides, I have a sneaking suspicion that by now you know a heck of a lot more about, oh, terrorism and world events than the average bloke :-)

If she can't tell the difference between being pompous and being educated you better get her reading the TM threads so she can catch up with your thoughts. Like many today she might be programmed to respond to conservative opinions with accusations of pomposity (courtesy of the NEA.)
