This does not help. Why not applaud the writer for pointing out exactly what should be done? This and similar articles need to be broadcast across the media. You cannot root out this kind of terrorism without obtaining the wholehearted support of the "host" community. They have to turn on these cowardly and murderous thugs and maniacs. Northern Ireland is a perfect example. The IRA relaunched its terrorism campaign in 1978 and 27 years later it is still finding shelter and maintaining legitimacy among large segments of the community. What we need are hard-nosed, practical solutions not folks pouring gasoline on the fire. The author at least is thinking.
The author is saying something most Americans have said since 9/11. The author however is not, even now, willing to 'take the gloves off' where Muslims and Islam are concerned. Fact is, and I have believed this all along, there are NO moderate Muslims. They are all, if not anti-Bush, CERTAINLY anti-American. They do NOT belong here and should go home. Myself, I know I would NEVER impose on the good will and generosity of a country I hated.
