because they lack the political courage to take on the left and the media, who spend their days filling the mushy minds of the sheeple with the "profiling is bad", "the muslims are being tortured", mantra. the US is only slightly better then the UK in this regard. Only because the 9-11 attack was so big and so dramatic, is public opinion here somewhat different. Had 9-11 involved 52 dead in the NYC subways, it likely would have been treated like the UK is doing - as a criminal incident, not a war.

Oh, yes, I was including our politicians who are just as ineffectual in dealing with this issue. The British pols are no worse than ours, imo.

Agreed. Neither country is taking this seriously. There will be tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of (more) deaths before there will be a reckoning.
