Washington D.C. (AHN) - Washington D.C. (AHN) - Time magazine reporter Matthew reveals top White House advisor Karl Rove is one of the sources of a CIA leak. The admission comes during a grand jury hearing on Wednesday.

The special prosecutor involved in the leak of a covert CIA Agent, has told the lawyer of Karl Rove, in an interview with the National Review, that the White House Advisor is "not the target of the investigation."

"'Target' is something we all understand, a very alarming term," Rove attorney, Robert Luskin, said.

Luskin said in the interview that Rove has been asked by prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald specifically, "not to speak publically about the on-going investigation."

It seems to merely be confirming the things discussed in the weekend stories. I guess Rove was technically a source because he talked about it. So this just seems like a routine report about an event everyone knew was about to happen.

Hello, aren't grand jury proceedings supposed to be secret?

Technically, but when you're desperate to have one of the most reviled members of the opposition go down in flames, just making s**t up is OK.

I heard a report from Daniel Shorr on NPR today. I'm paraphrasing, but he basically said:

"The Wilson/Plame affair is not about obstruction of justice or perjury [read: this is more serious than anything Bill Clinton ever did -- even though he didn't do those things]. This about the War. And how Bush lied in order to gt us into a bad war. And how that is Rove's fault."

Shorr then went on to recite a list of facts:

Wilson was a top Africa Expert.
He was sent to Niger to scope out the yellowcake situation.
He traveled throughout Niger, talking with EVERYBODY of importance.
Wilson verified that there was no yellowcake/Iraqi connection.
Subsequent intelligence reports from Italy and Britain have been proven to be forgeries and/or bald-faced lies.
Bush ignored the wisdom of Wilson, latched on to the bogus intelligence material and LIED to the American people, using those infamous 16 words.
All this is documented fact. And the Wilson affair will be the ultimate doom of the Bush presidency.

I laughed and laughed. The Democrats are going "All In" on this one.

Only for prosecutors. Witnesses are not bound by rules of secrecy and are free to discuss their own testimony with anyone, including the press.

I prefer the term "balls-deep"....;^)

It's gonna be a bad day on the midway when Rove et.al. finally kick the stool out from under them and the frantic, desperate twisting begins.

I'm interesting in finding out who Judith Miller is protecting and if the NY Times is paying her hush money to keep quiet and serve her jail time quietly.

NY Times is a public company and if they are paying their reporter hush money, it would be a violation of Sarbanes-Oxley. Looks like it's time to call investor relations.
