You know, I think Joe and Valerie fancy themselves as a modern day Nick and Nora Charles.

Wilson was most emotional when addressing his wife's exposure. 'I'm sorry for that,' he said, looking at her and fighting back tears. 'If I could give you back your anonymity … I would do it in a minute.'

She sat quietly, wiping away a tear, as her husband added, 'Frankly, frog-marching is too good for those who decided that their political agenda was more important than either American national security or your life.'

Plame … mingled unobtrusively last month at a party at the home of the Washington Post's Ben Bradlee and Sally Quinn.

—Howard Kurtz, "CIA Agent Valerie Plame Goes Undercover in Vanity Fair," in the Dec. 3 Washington Post.

******

"The pictures should not be able to identify her, or are not supposed to," Wilson said yesterday. "She's still not going to answer any questions and there will not be any pictures that compromise her." The reason, said Wilson, is that "she's still employed" by the CIA "and has obligations to her employer."

—Howard Kurtz, "CIA Agent Valerie Plame Goes Undercover in Vanity Fair," in the Dec. 3 Washington Post.

******

"My only regret about the Vanity Fair photo is that after all my wife and I have been through on this, that she had to be clothed as generic blonde in order to deal with the genuine concern that some wacko on the street might easily identify her," he said. "It was just in the interest of personal security."

Just a "feeling"....but I think Judith Miller and the N.Y. Slimes is covering for the former terrorist czar. Richard Clarke.

You know I've been racking my brain trying to think of an "administration official' via Novak that would have an axe to grind. With so much disingeniousness/lies from the left I totally overlooked Clarke as a possible source. I am heading out so I don't have at my fingertips when Clarke actually left the White House's employ.

Thanks.

shortly after an article of his was printed in the San Jose Weekly News, on October 13, 2002

The article in question from Wilson's old website: http://web.archive.org/web/20040612143510/www.johnkerry.com/honesty/san_jose3.html where he says:

Our message to Saddam can be simple: ``You are going to lose your weapons-of-mass-destruction capability either through the inspections or through a sustained cruise-missile assault on the 700 suspicious sites the United Nations has already identified. If you rebuild them, we will attack again. And if you use weapons of mass destruction or attack another country in the region, we will destroy you and your regime.'' The decision to live or die then becomes his to make.

What the hell is a "non-official covert agent?"

Tom Cruise played one in Mission Impossible.

My computer is filling up with bookmarks over all this Karl Rove smear. I wish some smart, intelligent, wise, kind FReeper would compile a 'Master List' on all the stories so we can have them all when Wilson is brought up on charges, him, and the people the NYT and Judith Miller are protecting. :-)

So he was for the war before he was against the war, or before John Kerry asked him to join his election team, whichever came first?

All my life I had the utmost respect and great admiration for the CIA and the FBI.

Same here Flyer. I thought for the most part they could be apolitical in their job. Maybe most of them still can but there are obviously activists within who need cleaning out. Or else it's 'if we can't trust the FBI and CIA - who can we trust?' Thank you Janet Reno and Jamie Warlock to name a couple.

....as also confirmed in Time magazine that Plame was...

confirmed by reading Time magazine? Time is hardly reputable. Did the other sources also read the same magazine?

This Blogger must be using too much crack.

The accusation is that Rove exposed an under cover operative. If he was really the source, the reporterette would be out of custody. I wonder why she is in jail if Rove is the source. If Rove had been the source, his release would have freed her to point to him.

I am starting to wonder if Wilson himself was the source. He has the motive because he could use his wife's job to buy himself credibility.

From page 16 of the Democrat playbook we have a list of problems and solutions. Here are some excerpts:

1. Oxidation on the Bronze Liberty: Fire Rove.

2. $2.25/Gallon of Gasoline: Fire Rove

3. Unshined Shoes in the Joint Chiefs: Fire Rove

4. Litter on the Mall: Fire Rove

You can see where this is going...
