Hudson (N.H.) police Chief Richard E. Gendron says he has nothing against immigration but warns that "if you want to come to this country, come in the front door." Otherwise, he vows, illegal aliens caught in his town of 25,000 will be charged with criminal trespass.

The outcry has reached all the way to President George W. Bush, who was warned recently by House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) to pull back from the Administration's goal of providing guest worker status to undocumented workers in the U.S. Instead, DeLay told reporters after an early June legislative strategy session, "we have to be very clear...about protecting our borders before we start talking about immigration" reform. The White House is now looking to highlight strict enforcement rather than its amnesty plan.

No wonder de Lay is so unpopular with the MSM and the left.

Chief Richard E. Gendron may I introduce you to Sheriff Aripio? I think the two of you could have a useful exchange of ideas.

Supposedly the local police in New Hampshire will also be involved in checking the barber's licenses of Floridians, as well as cargo inspections at the Phoenix airport.

Don't think for a minute this means they are going to give up on the end game. They won't. It just means it will all go underground now, suddenly surfacing at a later date, to be given a 2:00am voice vote...

Stay alert.

It would be really something if President Bush got behind our need to eliminate illegal immigration. What a chance he has to alter history for the better.

If several states start doing something, the FedGov will be forced to take action, or at least debate some things in the Senate.

Let's get to it. The sooner we deport our illegal alien population, the sooner we can go back to trusting each other.

As a canuck, I say GO! DeLay just might be showing the cojones NEEDED to slow the onslaught of illegals!

On my small island, the Cdn gov't actually authorized the import of several hundred "temporary" workers from, well you know where, just to pick DAFFODILS!!

Meanwhile, there are several hundred "street kids" less than 10 miles away from the daffodil fields. These PUNKS have the audacity to DEMAND you pay them for washing your already clean windshield, yet refuse to get on the bus and go WORK for a living.

If you are UNWILLING to work for your keep, you deserve to starve.

Produce or begone, scum.

There is no need to import workers. All we need do is make it as difficult for the lazy here as it is for the industrious elsewhere.

I have no problems trusting people. Perhaps illegal immigration is a convenient excuse for unhappy people, and maybe they enjoy being unhappy, for we are never going to deport 10 million people. To think otherwise is a recipe for their continued self-inflicted unhappiness.

Regardless of stance, Republicans are Republicans.

Neither Bush , nor Rove, nor Delay, nor California's Austrian Republican are willing to deport.

You like to wear rose-colored glasses, and that's just fine. But don't assume that yours is the only way to be happy. I'm as happy as can be since eople are actually leaving behind their illusions and talking about repairing the problems 60 years of political correctness have earned us. True happiness is knowing that things are getting better.
