Huh? Are you aware that the current mayor of our second largest city was the founder of UCLA's MEChA chapter, which is dedicated to the creation of "Aztlan," the American Southwest, after it is torn from the USA?

The official symbol of MEChA is an eagle with a lit dynamite bomb in one talon (mecha means fuse) and an Aztex head chopper in the other talon. (The A in MEChA is for AZTLAN.)

I watched a U.S. vs. Mexico soccer match at the L.A. Coliseum in '97 on a local (So. Cal) TV station. The crowd of almost 100,000 was awash in Mexican flags, the American national anthem was booed mercilessly, and "urine bombs" rained down on both the U.S. players and the (few) fans of the American team in attendance who had guts to openly root for the home (U.S.) team.
