The demoncraps that I have to work with have stated since before the election that it is all about eliminating the Bush legacy. They believe that there cannot be a republican term in which they come out the losers. No matter what it takes (breaking the law is considered appropriate) they will try to appear strong to their base. I always smile, shake my head and say "you might me wrong". It always drives them crazy because they just don't know.

They must indulge in scurrilous attacks as they have nothing to sell but hate. Their pandering policies which used to get them into office have had enough time to be proved failures. Now all they can do is yell NO to anything the Republicans propose and attack them for proposing it. They attack so that they can campaign on the idea that the present administration is so bad theat Republicans must not be allowed to rule.

Yes, it is a settled and determined longterm plan and a despicable one at that. Smiling knowingly and laughing at them smugly probably really gets their goats.
