They're a private company.

When they agree to accept tax dollars from the proceeds of "Choose Life" license plates, they become a whole lot less private.

While I would agree with your sentiments in practically every other scenario, when a business (non prof or otherwise) decides to suckle off of Uncle Sugar, they forfeit their right to be choosy.
