"That is your opinion. Opinions are fragile things, subject to change if the person holding them is willing to have an open mind and read and learn. Here's an article with a lot of info on the thread about the root causes of homoesxuality. Keep in mind that if homosexuality were inborn, there would be no - zero - former homosexuals. Turns out there are tens of thousands of former homosexuals. The mainstream media does not want their stories to be told."

What a pompous ass you are, talking down like that.

Your logic can't hold enough water to wet a stamp.

"Here's an article...the root causes of homoesxuality...."

There is a whole lot of professing and expressing about the "formers," but there is no empirical data I've come across, no respectable, reliably scientific examination.

Have men who've practiced homosexuality renounced the life, and never gone back? Yes, of course. Maybe they were never all that gay to begin with, but the culture steered them wrong when they were most vulnerable. And maybe, in some cases, there's more going on--maybe a deep, deep guilt, or shame, so they grab at the "conversion" "back to" heterosexuality like a drowning man grabbing a life preserver. (And as long as they cling tightly to it, they won't go back.)

Has it occurred to you that the zeal expressed by the "formers" very much mirrors the zeal of the those unfortunates we come across who've very suddenly and profoundly found Jesus--as if they were the first ones ever to find Him? There are many aspects about these "changed" homosexuals that parallels the fervor of the newly converted. This is a psychological/moral aspect that deserves serious examination.

Don't PRONOUNCE what is anecdotal to be fact.

This guy has a few screws loose. He seems to be mainly targeting us. I vote for ignoring him completely for the rest of the thread. What a jackass. What do you say?

You may find this of interest: Dr. Robert Spitzer Interviewed In 'Christianity Today' Magazine. Read that very carefully. Take special note of who Dr. Spitzer is, what he used to think and what he thinks and says now.

Now couple the above with the very important results of the Twins Studies, a summary of what science has stated and the extremely important growing number of ex-gays.

And as a professing Christian, what's your take on 1 Cor 6:9-11:

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God
That clearly says some folks were formerly homosexual.

Here are a number of testimonials from ex-gays. Claiming they were anything less than 100% gay at some point in their life is quite offensive.

Checkout the I Do Exist video. Regarding the I Do Exist video, Ryan Zempel makes the following observation in It really is elementary: Ex-gays exist:

A 22-year-old man stands before a classroom of middle schoolers, describing how he came out as a homosexual and going so far as to declare, "there are gay students in this classroom."

The young man is Noé Gutierrez, Jr., and the scene is one from It's Elementary, an award-winning 1996 video (widely aired in 1999) which aims to give "practical lessons on how to talk with kids about gay people."

You won't find that scene in Gutierrez's latest video, however. Although he requested permission to use it, producer/director Debra Chasnoff turned him down. Apparently, she doesn't want school children knowing what's happened since then.

You see, Gutierrez is no longer gay.

If there were such a thing as a gay gene, then there would also have to be an ex-gay gene that is growing in number as there are a growing number of ex-gays.

Checkout my profile for more information.

Have you even read any of the information that I linked to?

No? Or you skimmed it, and decided that since it didn't support your pro-homosexual bias, it was wrong.

And who is the pompous ass?

You're really full of yourself tonight, old boy. Can't refute anything with facts, so personal insult is the name of your game.
