Grim Saudi export -- suicide bombers
LA Times ^ | July 17, 2005 | Mia Bloom,

The attacks in London on July 7 and the near-daily slaughter in Iraq indicate that suicide bombers have become terrorists' weapon of choice. The London bombers were young men with no criminal records, a profile shared by some among the rising numbers of Saudis entering Iraq via Syria to blow themselves up.

The attacks in London's Underground and on a double-decker bus may mark the successful opening of a second front by Al Qaeda in its war to oust foreign troops from Iraq. The strategy is twofold: Attack soldiers and civilians in Iraq and hit the U.S. allies at home to force their hands.

Reuven Paz, an Israeli expert on terrorism, concluded that of the 154 foreign fighters killed in Iraq over a six-month period, 61% were Saudis, with Syrians and Kuwaitis together accounting for another 25%. But the jihadist websites claim that 70% of the suicide bombers in Iraq are Saudi nationals.

Public opinion surveys collected by the U.S. military show that even Iraqis who would like coalition forces to withdraw immediately disapprove of these attacks. In fact, there's mounting evidence of growing hostility toward the foreign jihadists, which may explain why their recruitment efforts in Iraq have had limited success. Although Abu Musab Zarqawi, Al Qaeda's leader in Iraq, has set up recruiting offices within the country, there has been little enthusiasm among Iraqis to join the insurgency. Since 2003, Iraqis have carried out less than 10% of more than 500 suicide attacks, according to Paz. In May, several of the suicide truck bombings in Baghdad were detonated by remote control, their drivers apparently unaware that they had "volunteered" for martyrdom

If the moose limbs open up a "second front" using "moderate boy next door Muslims" as their kamikazes....

We will have no choice other than internment and or expulsion of Muslims.

No society can tolerate a group where at random, perectly "normal" people get up in the morning, and blow up busloads of civilians.

it occurs to me that each and every one of these guys is the direct result and product of Wahabi Islamic indoctrination
and brainwashing. Just as much as each one of these terrorist operatives is our mortal enemy , so too is the core Wahabi philosophy , those that vociferously advance the creed in mosques , and the state that financially promotes it establishment throughout the world. The evil tide of Wahabism has to be stopped .

I'm frankly surprised that the Islamanazis haven't already utilized their Prison Converts in the "Nation of Islam" to stir more disruption in the major city "hoods"....

It will sure add some "diversity" to the civil war it could kick off in America....

Lots of grudges and pent up anger getting unleashed --- could lead to a level of bloodshed that will horrify the nation..

You've got that right. Many of our cities are powderkegs waiting for a fuse and a match.

U.S. Government response=0, Saudi Arabia is an ally that we are selling our latest E-3 AWACS and top-of-the-line F-15 fighter jets to. We'll see the wisdom of these decisions when a Saudi F-15 pilot crashes into Central Command HQ in Iraq.

Damn Matt, now I've scared myself so bad - I'll have nightmares tonight!

I was talking to Squantos last night, about the new Benelli M4.. Appears to be the near perfect home and street gun... Gonna get one.

I need to go find more pleasant reading tonight - or I really won't get any sleep...
Trying to figure out what I'd do under potential/imaginary threats, has always kept me awake..... Force of habit and experience, I guess.

Fighting in your own neighborhood, is a very disconcerting prospect.... We never thought twice about destroying the enemy's home to get at him --- now the shoe could very likely be on the other foot......

I wonder if other people think about things like that?

Have a good one.

Given that logic Al Qaeda attacked on 9/11 to oust who's foreign troops from where?

The Old Grey Whore got it wrong again. They don't need any reason to attack infidels.

We need friends like the Saudi Royal Family like we need... on second thought, their putative Al Qaeda replacements would be a nightmare.
