You're right on. The 'Toon's worshipers long ago had to admit that their idol is a liar; thus, they've spent the last five years trying to pin the label on Bush. Problem is, Bush hasn't lied. Thus, instead of insisting that The 'Toon's lies weren't lies, they now must insist that Bush's truthful statements are lies. Example--the sixteen words: entirely true then, true now.

Psychoanalytically, this phenom is called "projection", as first described by Freud. The Dems unabashedly use it, and the Republicans have apparently yet to even discover it, since they never seem to respond to any of this classic Dem rhetoric with any force or conviction.
