Secret books of hate - (already in Australia...coming to a bookstore near you?)

BOOKS of hate promoting jihad, hostility to Australia and "wiring up one's body" for suicide attacks are for sale in bookshops in Sydney's Muslim community.

A special investigation by The Daily Telegraph in the wake of the London bombings found extremist literature on shelves near innocuous children's reading such as It's fun to wear a hijab.

One incendiary tome bought for $11, Defence of the Muslim Lands carries an endorsement from Osama bin Laden on its cover.

The book by Sheik Abdullah Azzam, found at The Islamic Bookstore at Lakemba, discusses the effectiveness of suicide bombings.

"The form this usually takes nowadays is to wire up one's body, or a vehicle or a suitcase with explosives, and then to enter amongst a conglomeration of the enemy and to detonate . . ." the writer states.

"There is no other technique which strikes as much terror into their hearts, and which shatters their spirits as much."

Bin Laden wrote that women "have proven themselves incapable" of giving birth to another man like the author, believed killed in a bombing in the 1980s.

Another book by the same author, Join the Caravan, contains similar themes. "For how long will the believing youths be held back and restrained from jihad?" it reads.

The Absent Obligation, by hanged revolutionary Muhammad 'Abdus Salam Faraj, also advocates individuals participating in martyrdom operations.

The black book discusses how self detonation differs from suicide, offering quotes from the Koran to support the claim. "Indeed, there is a vast difference between the one who ends his life due to his inability to bear the difficulties of life and its various tribulations and the one who offers his life for the cause of Allah."

The large Haldon St shop, associated with the Saudi-based Wahabi tradition of Islam, is close to the Lakemba Prayer Hall.

Members of the prayer hall have been interviewed by ASIO in the past. French terrorist Willie Brigitte – deported from Australia in 2003 – is understood to have worshipped there.

In the same bookshop, a 2002 book by migrant Omar Hassan is loaded with vitriol for his Australian homeland, which he says is a land of discrimination, victimisation, drugs, prostitution and gambling. Hassan describes migrating to Australia as a "life sentence" and claims being Australian is "something to be ashamed of".

Among his claims is a conspiracy between government and police to turn Muslim children into drug addicts "to wipe out the new Muslim generation".

A few kilometres away in Auburn, other distressing texts could be found in the IDCA bookstore on Auburn Rd.

At Mary St, Auburn, other books were found at the Islamic Science, Culture and Art Association. Texts included The Qur'anic Concept of War.

It's fun to wear a hijab

A million laughs, I'm sure.

Can't wait to see what Dreamworks does with the story once it acquires the film rights.

You might be interested to know that in this mornings' Sydney Morning Herald is an announcement from authorities that these books cannot be removed, as they do not break any Aus. laws. Only if a terrorist act is perpertrated and can be shown to be related to the books (i.e. after innocent people are dead), can or will, authorities move.
You can imagine what the chances are of any new law outlawing them being introduced!!
