The Morning Call
Speaking to the nations' largest Hispanic civil rights organization, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., received a standing ovation Monday when she vowed her support for legislation that would allow illegal immigrant high school students to attend college.

Clinton made her remarks on various issues of importance to the country's Latinos at the annual conference of National Council of La Raza, attended by 23,000 people at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

The event started Friday and has included a rally in center Philadelphia in support of the so-called DREAM Act that would benefit illegal students.

On Tuesday, the chairpersons of both the Republican and Democratic national committees are schedule to address the conference, which NCLR officials say is a first for the organization and a sign that both parties have heightened their interest in the growing Latino population and its votes.

Um, Latino men really like women with nice "cabooses." So, that pretty much means Hillary has no chance of winning their vote.

The Clintons are always on BOTH sides of almost any issue, and the MSM will never hold them accountable for it.

"Everyone know what 'La Raza' means?"

Something about "everything for the race (Mexican) ...for the others....nothing.

Kind of like an Ispanic Islam without the black cube.

Well, I would say that this is something that could be used against her, to show how she supports rewarding illegal immigration, and thus is in effect encouraging illegal immigration; but unfortunately many Republicans support this same legislation, and even if the party as a whole was against it, then they would never have the testicular fortitude to attack her on it because that would be 'divisive', and the party is scared to death that it might scare off voters who would likely never vote for them anyway.

"she vowed her support for legislation that would allow illegal immigrant high school students to attend college."

Ms. Clinton promises everyone free education even Amercian children who have asked about college. Ms. Clinton thinks the government can afford to send or give anyone a free ride. Ms. Clinton is a Socialist, that is how she thinks and that is what she would do - were she ever to have the chance. Ms. Clinton doesn't want YOU to have to think, be responsible or do anything for your self. Ms. Clinton of course, will do and say anything for a vote. Socialism has failed where ever it is tried; Canada and England are prime examples of just how bad it is....but Ms. Clinton presses on........she just doesn't like the Republic, never has and never will.

Liberals say what the crowd wants to hear.

They have no core values.

Hillary wishes she had participated with hubby and Monica.......that's why she is mad!

She missed the fun.

"Everyone know what 'La Raza' means?"

'The Race'. I suspect it doesn't translate exactly, though. Many words and phrases from other languagues come across wrong when translated literally. I keep meaning to look into it instead of relying on a dictionary definition. I saw a taxi cab in Phoenix that said 'La Raza' (that seemed to be the name of the company), so obviously it's not *that* controversial. I suppose it depends on how it's used, like so many things in any language.

I know that, and you know that....but unfortunately there are probably at least 50 million voters out there that don't know or care...and will vote for her for POTUS!

Hillary talks through both sides of her mouth. She's to the right of President Bush on immigration issues, and she's to the left of Senator Boxer on immigration issues.

The mainstream media will cover only the issues favorable to the presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. This anointing by the media is ridiculous.

What does "la raza" mean?

The following explanation was given to me by many Latin Americans: Before Columbus discovered the Americas, the races were geographically distributed in discrete groups. The "whites" in Europe/Middle East, the "reds" in the Americas, the "blacks" in Africa, the "yellows" in the Far East, etc.

After October 12, 1492, all the races melted together in the Americas. Therefore, Columbus Day is known in Spanish as the Day of la Raza , the day when the human race became melted again.

Therefore, la Raza looks different depending on the part of the Americans being studied. In Argentina, la Raza looks like a European mix, while in Dominican Republican it looks like an African/European mix. In Mexico and Central America, la Raza mostly looks like an Indian/European mix.

As you stated, la Raza can mean different things to different people. In California and the South West, it seems that la Raza mostly refers to the Mexican-Americans. In New York, Chicago, and Orlando, la Raza must include the large colonies of Americans of Puerto Rican origin. In South Florida, la Raza must be the a complete mixture of all the Latin American countries, since South Florida has a large contingent of immigrants from every Spanish-country in the world, from very pale blonds to very dark blacks.

Vincente Fox's meaning of La Raza is to ship as many non-European mexicanos northward for as long as he can.

In case anyone cares, you are witnessing the destruction of this nation as both Republicans and Democrats alike give away the nation to 'buy' votes...

Enjoy the spectacle...
