By Kristen Consillio Pacific Business News (Honolulu) Updated: 8:00 p.m. ET July 17, 2005 The state is investigating the Hawaii College of Pharmacy in Kapolei for alleged unfair and deceptive business practices. The investigation stems from complaints by some of the 240 students who have paid $28,000 each -- a total of $6.72 million -- in annual tuition for a three-year doctorate program, which was denied accreditation. Students are worried that without accreditation they will be left with worthless degrees and unable to work as pharmacists.

Well, seems like some pretty shady practices by the school.
But at the same time, those students should have known they were taking a major risk by attending a 'soon to be accredited' school.
