For centuries the Netherlands has been considered the world's most tolerant and liberal nation.

The Dutch people believe they have become the MOST ignorant nation of the planet earth!

Leon De Winter does not get it. He sees that there is a problem, but has not one clue about any solution. What is needed is to get the Muslims to appreciate Calvinist values?? And more unconventianal "gay" politicians??

I think de Winter's tokin' up too much.

and, for those who prefer not to work, a government package of benefits that makes a toil-free life entirely feasible.

I wish Leon de Winter had been a bit more explicit and informative here, since money, like matter, cannot be simply created out of thin air.

Specifically, what prevents 100% of the dutch from adopting the "toil-free life"?

Inquiring minds would love to know!

If they are that ignorant then how would they know? Isn't ignorance bliss?

Want a practical solution? The Kingdom needs to declare a ninety day state of national emergency and suspend all civil liberties. Break down doors if need be, check papers, and clean out the cancer to an awaiting ultra-high security prison in the North Sea, where detainees can be interrogated, biometrically measured, and deported. Clamp down on suicide-pact like immigration policies, put extra security on the borders and ports, and go into overtime updating computer criminal databases and intelligence assets. Some might call those draconian measures, but extreme circumstances often require extreme solutions.

Brings up another question. How much aid do they recieve from the US? I am sure there has to be some. Remember, our taxes don't just support liberalism and welfare in the US; no, we're thinking globally! :/

You can't sit down, share a few drinks, and talk reason with someone who's busy slitting your throat. Theo Van Gogh discovered that in short order, and a good many Dutch have decided emigration is a good idea.

Go to google images and type in "tulips". Spend a few minutes admiring their beauty. Now type in "mosque".

They have Sunni mosques there because thousands of Turkish immigrants live there!

And in the city of Utrecht, Catholics and Muslims pray together!

Sounds like a "good start" for our immigration problem in the USA.

Yes, quite a tall order when theose same values are slipping away from the native Dutch population.

Perhaps what they need is a bit of acceptance of reality. Muslims aren't going to integrate into Dutch Calvinist society or any society except one under sharia law.

Time to wake up and smell freshly spilled blood from the necks of the unbelievers. Time to realize that all Dutch are considered unbelievers.

Time to either ship 'em out or match Islamic fundalemtalism and religious fervor with all out worship on St. Bartholomew's Day. ;-)

If he hasn't lost his mind he will. It may take a few swipes of the knife, but he'll lose it.

"Dutch tolerance may become its own victim...."

What a powerful observation - and true everywhere.
