I wonder how long that tunnel has been there..100 years or more?
Maybe just since Prohibition?
The tunnel was described as highly sophisticated.
During Prohibition, bootleggers used to drive the booze from Canada to the U.S. across the Detroit River after it froze. It hasn't done that for awhile so evidently they got tired of waiting.
