Senatus Clintonus Horribilis may be worried about becoming an endangered species next year. I don't think see sees any votes to be gained from opposing Roberts

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreicate them.

I've been around a little. But I'm in the midst of a major software project. That means pounding code 10 or 12 hours a day.

Once againt thanks for the kind comments and the fantastic graphics.

She's afraid to surface and not a thing is getting done by the Senate with all the posturing.

Everyday the Republicans should be out there saying we have to get this done, we have to get that done, but the Dems are stalling everything that comes down the pike.

What are we paying these people for?

My two Senators (Ohio) are RINO's but I still want them to actually earn the money we pay them (until we can get those idiots replaced with some real Conservatives).

Telling us that they can't do their jobs because the Rats are stalling everything doesn't come anywhere near being good enough. But they aren't even doing THAT!

The Dems will keep their power dry for the next SC nomination Bush makes. They were outwitted this time and they know it.

I'm not so sure. I believe before Roberts is confirmed we will hear assurances that he will not overturn Roe. They knew they were going to get a conservative judge, but they could at least try to protect their past victories from being undone, and I believe that is what they have done. They have used the filibuster and the deal with the Gang of 14 to draw a line in the sand. I heard on Scarborough last night that the White House called his show to correct something the show broadcast the day before that said Roberts would overturn Roe. The White House called him and said "Roberts supports Roe v Wade." I'm waiting to hear more about that.

Hillary keeps her eye on the prize.

She never takes her eye off it.

a violation of the client/lawyer privilege?

If he was working for the justice department the "client" was the United States. The client can always waive the attorney/client privilege, the administration won't do it.

Senate Democrats, after months of preparing for a full-scale fight with President Bush over a Supreme Court nominee, found themselves Wednesday instead weighing whether or how to battle his choice of John G. Roberts Jr.

Whether to battle Bush's choice? Ha! That decision was made before Roberts finish law school.

Several Democrats complained that Roberts had served as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for only two years, and therefore had a limited judicial record.

These wouldn't be the same democrats that suggested nominating a sitting Senator or someone outside the judicial system are they?

From what I have read, Leiberman has already publicly applauded the choice.

Yes. They suggested someone more worldly with political savy but then John G. Roberts has been in the political realm - just not a follower of THEIR politics.

AND HE KNOWS THESE PEOPLE!

That's what I'm wondering. Hillie never stated what her position was on the Schiavo bill if you recall. And thanks to that voice vote she was never required to go on the record. I'm betting the same thing happens with Robert's nomination. Approved by a voice vote. And Hillie knows the MSM will never hold her feet to the fire on getting a position from her. What Hillie has yet to internalize is that she ain't just dealing with the MSM anymore. Heh heh heh.

He also said something like "we aren't going to take that crap" I take it to be a shot across the bow where the Rats will be shot out of the water in committee.

Bingo.

(Nan Aaron was just on Fox and Friends talking about the Roberts nomination -- and her final statement was "Let's just all take a deep breath" ... sound familiar?)
